Sponsorship & Events Sales Executive
  • $55-75k base depending on experience + super + bonus
  • Monday to Friday B2B hours
  • Office is located in North Sydney next to the train station
  • Excellent monthly commission structure
About our company:
Our client owns and organises large B2B trade shows (exhibitions) and conferences, which provide senior-level executives from business and government with a reliable and up-to-the-minute source of information, as well as an effective way to network and do business. 

About the role:
You will be responsible for development and execution of targeted B2B direct sales campaigns for a portfolio of business conferences and trade shows. Your goal is to identify new sponsorship and exhibition revenue generating opportunities and convert sales opportunities by outbound phone dialling and meeting potential clients.
Responsibilities include:
  • Identify new sponsorship and exhibition revenue generating opportunities
  • Generate new leads for sponsorship and exhibitions
  • Build your own sales pipeline
  • Write promotional and marketing emails to attract inbound leads for sponsorship and exhibition
  • Undertake research to learn about prospects and why they should be involved in events
  • Write detailed proposals
  • Cold call prospects and invite them to sponsor and exhibit
  • Launch and promote events and brands
  • Monitor and attend competing events
About you:
As the Sponsorship and Events Sales Executive, you will build relationships with clients to sponsor a variety of events. You will need:
  • A passion to embrace technology
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • A proven sales record from a previous B2B outbound sales position
  • Project & logistics management skills
  • The ability to network and sell to C-Level executives
You will also be responsible for project leadership and providing a level of customer care to your clients. These duties will include:
Project Leadership
  • Launch and project manage new and/or repeat conferences and exhibitions
  • Overall responsibility for the sponsorship side of the project
  • Communicate with the event team, including Ops, Marketing, Accounts, and Production
  • Liaise with clients, venues, suppliers, internal and external staff
Customer Care
  • Relationship and key account management for your allocated account 
  • Coordinate exhibitor / sponsor manuals with Operations Manager/Customer Service Manager
  • Create and present post-event reports
Operations & Logistics Management
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure the event is successful on the day
  • Study and learn all pages of your Exhibition Manual
