Work for a brilliant internationally recognised medical research institute who perform ground-breaking cardiovascular research.

Role

We are seeking an experienced Retention Manager who will oversee all retention activity across the Regular Giving program which consists of over 40,000 donors worldwide contributing to this institution’s income. You will be responsible for the retention and value growth of their donor bases, principally in Australia but also across international markets (currently NZ, UK and potentially further in future).
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic responsibility to oversee and develop all retention activity across regular giving
  • Management of all regular giving retention and value growth activities, including donor engagement communications, donor saves program, payment rejection calling, annual tax receipt and upgrades campaign
  • Drive continual improvement in campaigns and processes
  • Develop our donor engagement and communication strategy including segmentation, contact and channel strategy, messaging and creative refresh
  • Create the best possible experience for Regular Giving donors and maximise donor retention
  • Monitor key program indicators at campaign, supplier and overall program level to ensure delivery to budget and targets
  • Report monthly on financial and campaign performance to budget
  • Build and grow quality relationships with suppliers and external partners
  • Support development of international strategy, including scoping new markets and identifying potential campaign partners and suppliers
  • Work at management level within the Marketing and Fundraising team and feedback on program performance across the wider organization including senior management, executive team and the board
Skills & Attributes
  • Senior level experience in a retention role either within an NFP setting or a commercial organisation
  • A strong proven ability to analyse and act on data-driven insights to improve campaign and program performance is essential
  • Ability to create a clear donor journey and construct targeted messaging  
  • Proven experience in implementing new retention tools
  • Experience delivering a range of Regular Giving retention strategies
  • Agency and supplier relationship management experience
  • Creative and innovative with strong attention to detail 
  • High level stakeholder management experience
  • Exceptional communication skills
