Philanthropy Manager

Philanthropy Manager role for an inspiring Foundation who are the fundraising organisation for a number of hospitals and health institutes across North Sydney.
  
The Foundation has a clear and simple mission to ensure people enjoy good health throughout their lives, from birth until old age. You will be empowered to find innovative ways to achieve the Foundation’s mission to unite health research and education with patient care and community well-being through development of the Philanthropy portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • drive the acquisition, engagement, management and retention of the Foundation’s major donors
  • support the bequests program, cultivating and nurturing new and existing relationships
  • identify and qualify major gift and bequest prospects using a broad range of internal and external data sources
  • research, identify, cultivate and steward new prospects and existing donors
  • build and manage a pipeline of potential donors
  • uplift existing relationships and maximise income
  • create plans to increase supporter commitment and relationship value
  • create detailed donor profiles and utilise tools available for donor research
  • prepare donor strategies and proposals
  • personally solicit gifts
  • help develop a strategic approach to the growth and development of the portfolio
  • provide the highest level of stewardship to donors 
  • develop relationships with stakeholders and the board to build on known connections
Skills & Attributes
  • experience within Philanthropy/Major Gifts fundraising
  • proven experience in “making the ask”
  • ability to grow and manage effective long-lasting relationships with donors
  • understanding of donor engagement principles and segmentation approaches
  • fundraising database experience
  • ability to manage and improve supporter journeys
  • experience in solicitation and stewardship of donors
  • exceptional relationship development skills
  • exceptional communication skills
