About the organisation
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals; New South Wales (RSPCA NSW) is a not-for-profit organisation in Australia that cares for, treats, protects and rehomes animals across the state. They run seven shelters and three veterinary hospitals in NSW as well as working with volunteer branches and their strong mission is to prevent cruelty to animals by actively promoting their care and protection.
This is an exciting time to join RSPCA NSW, with their new capital projects in the works, the Operations team are excited to create new growth opportunities.
The Operations Manager will oversee the Sydney and Hunter regions shelters and animal hospitals and a high performing team. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will lead the daily operations relating to animal welfare within the shelter and vet hospital environment.
At the RSPCA it is fast paced, animal welfare focused and they are always looking to improve their offerings to their customers and their community. You will have significant input in delivering the strategic plan and coordinate projects relating to process improvement, risk and compliance, operational performance, animal welfare and customer outcomes.
The Operations Manager will provide strong leadership to their passionate teams across multiple sites and support animal welfare practices and positive customer outcomes. You will be responsible for managing a budget and ensuring all targets are met. With a large focus on leading high performing teams, you will also be a strong and effective advocate for improved animal welfare through improved regulations, as well as continually looking for areas of innovation to improve internal practices.
This is the dream role for someone with an operations background who is hands on, an encouraging leader with a positive, resilient attitude. You must have a keen eye on process improvement and creative flair for creating commercial opportunities for RSPCA NSW.
You must be happy to split your time between Sydney, where the majority of the focus will be and the Hunter region and you will be provided with a fully maintained vehicle to undertake your new role.
