Beaumont people are proud to be working with The Farm to recruit their new Maintenance and Property Manager. The Farm is an 80 acre working farm.  With a Motto of ‘Grow, Feed, Educate’, they have a wonderful community of growers, producers, eateries and educators who all call it home.  They each share a united passion for growing food using sustainable methods. 
 
The Farm Maintenance and Property Manager's primary role is to adopt and implement policies and procedures that maintain standard levels on site across all divisions including tenants and developments. You will also be responsible for maintaining appropriate levels of compliance to Risk, Essential Services, Statutory and Regulatory Authority obligations.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  Property Operations
  • Carry out regular cleaning inspections to ensure compliance to The Farm’s guidelines
  • Carry out contractor spot checks in a timely manner and address any issues that are identified
  • Manage tenancy works at a site level and act as the first point of contact
  • Implement new policies & procedures and sustainability initiatives as they are developed
  • Day to day management of all on site contractors and growers 
  • Plan and facilitate annual contractor meetings 
  • Play an active role during development works
  • Manage capital works and provide progress reports to the owner and work closely with the Finance Manager to monitor budgets.
  • Carry out tenancy inspections including tenancy defect inspections post fit out
  • Ensure all machinery and equipment are serviced and maintained regularly
  Stakeholder relationships
  • Being a point of contact for tenants and manage any issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Managing customer complaints in a timely manner
  • After hours point of contact for site related issues
  • Work with the leasing agent to ensure all works/issues are completed in a timely manner
Quality / Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance to essential services measures
  • Manage the implementation and compliance of all associated WHS&E policies and procedures
  • Carry out property risk inspections in a timely manner 
  • Emergency contact point for incidents that arise on The Farm
  • Address security related issues
  • Coordination of annual essential services testing
  Finance Reporting
  • Manage operations expenditure throughout the financial year 
To be successful in this role you will have:
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Extensive experience managing external service provider’s and their teams
  • The capacity to think on your feet and anticipate problems or challenges before they occur 
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects
  • Intermediate level IT skills including MS Office
  • Strong finance experience managing budgets, financial reporting and forecasting
  • Sound health & safety and environmental management capabilities
  • It is essential that you have excellent time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines
  • Experience managing and leading a diverse team  
  • Professional presentation and training skills, including being comfortable in tailoring your message to a varied audience demographic.
