Job Description
- Significantly contribute to the development and implementation of the Local Area Community Engagement strategy and plan.
- Actively promote, build relationships, attend and coordinate representation at key community and awareness raising events and conferences
- Make recommendations for improved accessibility and locations for service delivery within the region
- Maintain data and records to capture and measure impact of activities.
- Liaise with the BMS team as needed
- Effective participation and contribution to staff teams.
- Ensures compliance with Work Health and Safety in line with the organisation’s WH+S Policy and procedures
- Identify and work with key staff in the Centre to plan and attend events to promote services within key community service organisations
- Plan and schedule community events (digital and in person) within the regional footprint across the various programs
- Utilise and expand existing Centre marketing collateral for events, seminars and other promotional opportunities
- Utilise in house expertise in BMS team to further build on digital, online or in person events.
- Identify opportunities for the promotion and increased publicity for the services online and in person
- Build key relationships with local (Uni, Businesses and community) groups and actively promote the services with other staff.
- Contribute to and participate in staff development opportunities.
To be successful in this role you will have :-
- Experience and relevant qualification in Social Service, Health Promotion related discipline.
- Established service and business networks in the community sector
- Previous work history reflects high level communication skills.
- Experience and confidence in delivering presentations.
- Passion and creativity in promotion of services
- Previous work history reflects high level organisational skills.
- Proven success in project and/or event management
- Proven ability to professionally engage with, facilitate, and motivate a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve the key deliverables and position level outcomes.
- High-level research skills with demonstrated ability to analyse data and provide evidence-based recommendations.
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining collaborative partnerships.
- Current Australian ‘C’ Class Driver’s License.
