ABOUT THE ROLE

This Manager will lead a team in the development, delivery, review and evaluation of learning and assessment materials for a defined suite of financial planning courses. This person will ensure that the quality of the students’ learning experience is exceptional.

Key responsibilities include;
  • Development, maintenance and delivery of Learning and assessment materials
  • Lead, coach, guide and motivate direct reports to achieve performance objectives and professional development plans
  • Undertake learning and assessment improvement activities, including moderation, validation, course reviews and course re-fresh projects
  • Contribute to the effective resolution of student complaints and grievances within the parameters of the student grievance policy, investigate and resolve allegations of academic misconduct
  • Recruit and oversee training of new staff as required
  • Provide support to Student Services and Student Advisers when requires and address any specific concerns
  • Manage any escalations from the wider business 
  • Work effectively and cooperatively as part of a team. Contribute to a positive, positive and safe workplace

The ideal candidate will have a positive ‘can do’ attitude with the ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally.

Key qualifications and skills include;
  • Experience working in a higher education or learning and development environment
  • Experience developing learning resources to enhance student experience
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and project management skills
  • Ability to work as a team and autonomously
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Bachelors Degree or tertiary qualifications
  • Financial services qualification or experience from working in the industry
  • Experience in developing courses for online and blended delivery
