ParaQuad NSW operates under several brands and in multiple locations and provides niche services including personal care, accommodation, support and clinical services to people impacted by a  spinal condition, their families and carers at every stage of life. Under one of our brands we are also one of the largest home deliverer of continence and health care products in the country.
The FOCUS of the role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this person will be responsible for the daily operations, as well as the strategic direction of the HR function. Over the next few years we will continue our process improvement across the organisation and resulting change management. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful HR Manager to refine our people focused processes and to be a strong participant in change across the organisation.
As a generalist HR Manager, you will be responsible for HR projects, recruitment and selection, learning and development, Industrial Relations matters, performance management, WHS and the HRIS. The HR Officer and WHS Advisor will report to the HR Manager and together will make a dynamic and proactive team.
There will also be a collaboration with other functions to improve and promote continuous quality improvements across the organisation. You will be the go-to person for all HR matters both internally and externally and have the confidence and experience to manage a dynamic portfolio.
The successful applicant will have at least five year’s experience working for a medium sized organisation as a HR Manager, Senior HR Generalist or Advisor. You will have previously worked in a stand-alone or small HR team and had generalist exposure and accountability across the HR function.
About you:
  • Sound computer skills including using a HRIS
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management
  • Experience managing and developing staff
  • Experience working for a not for profit organisation is an advantage
  • Excellent stakeholder management, conflict resolution and relationship building skills
  • Possess a practical solution mindset
  • Ability to align business need to the HR strategy
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Extensive generalist HR experience (over 5 years)
  • Tertiary HR qualifications
  • Ability to align business need to the HR strategy
  • High-level communication skills including conflict resolution
  • Negotiation skills
  • Strong Computer Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team of HR professionals
  • Disability sector experience desirable
  • Certificate 4 in Training and Education
  • Experience developing and delivering training.
