About the Organisation:

Forsight Australia was formed in 1978 by parents of deaf and blind children with a simple mission; to improve the lives and outcomes for people living with sensory disabilities and their families. Today Forsight operates 13 independent group homes situated throughout NSW and employs over 120 dedicated staff members, working 24 hours a day, dedicated to making a difference in the lives of individuals with complex sensory and additional disabilities through a range of sensory accommodation support programs that families could only dream about 40 years ago. 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Marketing, communication, fundraising and grants strategy to grow brand awareness, increase services and identify and grow income streams and opportunities
  • Work closely and in collaboration with the leadership team, and in particular, the Head of Service Development, service providers and potential clients (and/or their families) to assist in growth strategies about marketing to support pilots and new product / service initiatives
  • Responsible for outward brand of the organisation including all marketing materials, websites, social media, media releases, communications and external events
  • Responsible for the inward brand of the organisation including the creation and oversight of a style guide and key internal communications
  • Responsible for the establishment and distribution of an internal newsletter for staff, clients and families
  • Lead customer service initiatives and liaise with the Head of Service Development to oversee the client intake process
  • Work with the Head of Operations to monitor and review customer engagement (NPS)
  • Liaise with the Head of Operations and the Head of Service Quality to improve the branding, signage and appearance of properties
  • Create and maintain a database of key supporters and stakeholders
  • Participate in organisational strategic planning processes
Key Projects (will include, but are not limited to):
  • Lead brand refresh project including the creation of a new logo, materials and style guide
  • Create and launch new website
  • Create marketing and fundraising strategy and plan
  • Hit agreed new income targets at the end of a 12 month period
  • Lead a market research project to better understand the market and possible opportunities
  • Set-up a CRM of all key supporters and track funding
  • Create grant calendar
  • Create internal newsletter
Skills, Experience and Attributes:
  • Experience in brand development, execution and management
  • Passionate about creating and executing meaningful and memorable experiences and interactions with colleagues, clients and stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally, including large corporations
  • A confident, engaging and authentic public speaker
  • Enjoy looking at the big picture and translating strategy into day to day operations
  • Demonstrated success marketing services and/or products to a particular target market/s
  • Somebody who will work hard as part of a growing and committed team to making a difference to the lives of individuals living with sensory disabilities and their families
  • Experience identifying / applying for / acquitting grant funding will be highly regarded (and will be an integral part of your role)
  • Developing and managing a small team
  • You are a creative and experienced or aspiring leader with energy, enthusiasm and the desire to grow
