General Manager - Recruitment Agency
|Job Title:||General Manager - Recruitment Agency|
|Location:||Sydney - CBD, Inner West & Eastern Suburbs|
|Contact Name:||Adam Hart|
A deep industry specialist this recruitment firm has an enviable track record for taking experienced industry operators and turning them into talented recruiters with unrivalled sector and market knowledge. They have a strong foundation of training and continuing professional development for their team as well as identifying the strengths of their people and adapting internal opportunities to create opportunities for meaningful work, organisational capability, career growth and overall engagement. Mirroring its specialist industry clients, they are incredibly fast-paced with customer-centricity at the heart of their culture.
As General Manager you will report to the CEO and Founder leading a high performing, high tenured team of recruiters and support staff. You will drive the culture, business, operational and financial performance of the organisational. The key challenges for you coming in to this role will be to develop what is in part newly created whilst learning and understanding the elements of the role that currently exist, whether they be duties performed currently by the CEO or by the wider team. To say this is a diverse role would be an understatement. To that end it is not expected that the ideal candidate will walk in the door with every element required, but that you should have an appetite for leading a business, working in a close-knit team culture, and working hard to advance the business and your career simultaneously.
You are known in your team and amongst your friends as a fast talker and fast walker. A little cliché but you possess a can-do attitude, you are a salt of the earth, high energy person. Recruitment is tough, but so are you, but importantly that has not dimmed your passion for your clients, candidates and colleagues. You thrive in collaborative, fast-paced cultures. Given that pace and urgency as well as customer-centricity is a key element of this agency and this role it is likely you have worked and thrived in environments like this, these might include travel and tourism, aged care, hospitality, early learning, events, customer service and call centre. Underpinning your industry and cultural alignment will be your recruitment leadership capability. You have led teams either in agency or internal, hired and developed your people, as well have a strong sense of the business and commercial elements of working in a senior leadership role.
This is the perfect opportunity for the Manager seeking the next steps in their career. Working under a dynamic, entrepreneurial CEO who is seeking someone to develop within their business and grow that person, the role, and the organisation. Importantly this is unlikely suited as someone’s first leadership role. You are likely an experienced leader who has hit that chokepoint we often get to in our organisations where the opportunity for growth is a little too far away or potentially non-existent or irrelevant.
This opportunity will be recruited with purpose and my client is looking to onboard the right person over the next several weeks. Of course with a massive emphasis on “the right person” for which we will wait to ensure this role and opportunity is truly aligned to you. If this opportunity is what you have been searching and waiting for please apply here. I will be in touch within 48 hours to arrange a time to speak further. Any questions please email me firstname.lastname@example.org in the first instance.
