Fundraising Manager

Fundraising Manager for a well-loved, longstanding centre in Surry Hills who provide a welcoming place for children and youth who need a helping hand. You will be responsible for creating and implementing a new Fundraising strategy and will have overall responsibility for all income streams, with personal responsibility for Major Gifts and Bequests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and implement the Fundraising plan
  • Line management of the small fundraising team and oversee wider income streams including partnerships
  • Establish and manage a pipeline of major donors and potential bequestors
  • Identify new opportunities and make direct approaches to potential philanthropists for one off donations and to solicitate bequests
  • Develop and maintain quality long-term prospects, and develop and implement cultivation strategies (including events) to turn prospects into ongoing supporters
  • Collaborate with services staff to identify projects requiring funding and cases for support that are attractive to donors
  • Develop and implement an events calendar, including minor and major corporate and community events
  • Work alongside the EO to establish plans for Branding and Marketing
  • CRM management and development
Skills & Attributes
  • Experience across Fundraising streams with a personal focus across philanthropy
  • Background cultivating either major donors or bequestors
  • Proven ability to reach financial targets
  • Efficiency in administration and reporting
  • Exceptional relationship development skills
  • High level communication skills
  • Passion for working in a small, local level charity
  • An ability to inspire others and drive change within a community
  • Ability to be “hands on” and assist in other areas of the organisation
