Job Description
The Sydney team are looking for a Data Analyst with a “can do” attitude and a collaborative approach. This is a temporary position to cover leave and is fundamental to the not for profit
Reporting to the IT & Database Manager the purpose of this position is to develop and execute a strategic approach to collecting, analysing and interpreting data, in turn helping develop the fundraising, marketing and communication initiatives.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Providing general support to the IT Manager including database management and data uploads
- Assisting the management team with decision making by providing analysis from data collection
- Providing support to the Fundraising, Events and Marketing & Communications team
- End to end campaign analysis and delivery
- Data extraction, manipulation and analysis
- Data modelling and predictive analysis to drive decisions relating to communications and fundraising programs.
- Assisting with the development of a database strategy and best practice database management
- Identifying and analysis of data trends
- Reporting and providing recommendations on online and offline marketing and fundraising programs
- A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics of similar discipline
- Proven experience with analysing and reporting of regular giving/ customer loyalty programs
- Experience of working with large volumes of data
- Thorough knowledge of CRM databases (data imports/exports, complex queries, write backs, data segmentation)
- Experience of working across multiple projects at once
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong IT skills - experience in SQL, Access & advanced Excel
- Experience in web analytics
- Exceptional communication – verbal and written
- Sound programming skills and writing SQL scripts
- Experience in data visualisation tools e.g. heat maps
- Previously worked in the Not for Profit sector
- Experience of Raisers Edge database
