Corporate Partnerships Manager

The Corporate Partnership Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts, working on new business development opportunities across a range of sectors, researching prospective corporate supporters and making appropriate approaches.

About the organisation

The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is the only national body that funds life changing breast cancer research with money raised entirely by the Australian public. Breast cancer is the most common cancer facing Australian women, with eight women dying from the disease each day. Research is the only way to prevent deaths, and improve how breast cancer is diagnosed, managed and treated. By funding only world class research, NBCF is working towards a goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.
Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and research new business opportunities
  • Manage a new business prospect pipeline
  • Create compelling partnership proposals and plans
  • Pitch and present at senior level
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts including sponsorship and workplace giving
  • Day to day account management of partners
  • Provide outstanding stewardship
  • Develop engagement and communication plans in conjunction with corporate partners
  • Securing sponsorship for key corporate fundraising events
  • Review and evaluate progress on a regular basis and ensure actions from all parties are completed
Skills & Attributes
  • Corporate partnerships or commercial sales experience required
  • Proven new business sales experience
  • Ability to manage the full new business cycle from prospect research
  • Strong commercial negotiation skills including influencing, persuading and closing
  • Proven ability to manage accounts and grow a portfolio
  • A background in hitting financial targets and winning large partnerships
  • Efficiency in administration and reporting
  • Exceptional presenting and communication skills
