ABOUT THE ROLE

Meriden is an independent Anglican day school for girls from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 based in Strathfield. Meriden ranks among the top independent girls’ schools in the HSC and is renowned for fostering curiosity, initiative, perseverance and enthusiasm for learning.

The Senior School Administration Assistant is responsible for the smooth running of the Senior School administration office, providing administration support for the Head of Teaching and Learning and helping with the reception administration.

General duties
  • Preparing and formatting documentation, forms, letters, permission notes, mailouts and emails, whilst organising approval by appropriate stakeholders before communication is sent
  • Labelling, collating and storage of student files with confidentiality
  • Assisting reception with calls, parent inquiries, student questions and general reception relief. Assisting with late student sign ins and early leavers
  • Providing support to the Head of Learning through diary management, assisting with school events, proof reading and data checking documents, and producing reports, documents and letters as required
  • Assisting with student reports, printing and collating reports, and entering marks, comments, grades and other data
  • Organising professional learning for staff, uploading professional development once completed on to database, and help the running of internal professional development.
  • Confirming Parent/Teacher meetings, setting up booking function and completing forms
  • Providing general administrative support to the Senior School staff where required
ABOUT YOU
Successful candidates will have
  • Support of the Christian ethos of Meriden
  • Intermediate - advanced skills in Microsoft Suite
  • Highly developed attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent time management, including the capacity to work with conflicting priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, great interpersonal skills with the ability to communication with stakeholders at all levels confidently
  • A work ethic that reflects involvement with projects and issues as required
  • Most importantly, hold attributes such as; confidentiality, flexibility, initiative, discretion and loyalty to Meriden School
