Our client is an innovative higher education provider, working with students on a variety of online bachelor degrees. An exciting opportunity as an Academic Systems Administrator has opened up internally and they are looking for an exceptional IT person to join their team. 
  • Based in Sydney CBD, close to public transport
  • 12-month contract, with potential to extend 
  • Immediate start for the right candidate
ABOUT THE ROLE

The Academic Systems Administrator will have a comprehensive understanding of LMS & SMS, be able to strengthen the internal systems for reporting and compliance reasons. This role will work closely with the management team and academics to enhance current reporting, whilst providing technical support to others in the business.

General duties include;
  • Be the go-to person for maintenance between integrating systems and ensuring they are running smoothly at all times
  • Provide exceptional support around the LMS & SMS systems and assist with reviewing, improving and streamlining all current processes  
  • Assist staff and students are troubleshooting on the LMS & SMS communicating either via phone or email
  • Collate data for analysis using Excel and present reports to management and academics for future improvements  
  • Implement LMS administrative tasks such as content organisation, back-end development and management
  • Liaise with multiple departments across the business and internal/external stakeholders
  • Maintenance of the website via WordPress
  
ABOUT YOU
  
You could be an individual who has 1-2 years experience in a systems position within an education provider or have transferable skills the match this opportunity. You are an exceptional individual who adds value to their terrific workplace culture, loves helping others and thinks outside the box. 
  
Skills, attributes and experience;
  • Degree qualified or relevant experience in a similar role 
  • Demonstrated experience using and maintaining an LMS & SMS within a higher education provider is highly desirable
  • Willingness to learn and grow personally to develop the role 
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft
  • Must have unlimited working rights in Australia
