ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity for an IT superstar to join a well-known higher education provider in the Sydney CBD. The function of the Academic Systems Administrator is to strengthen the internal systems for reporting and compliance reasons. This person will have a comprehensive understanding of LMS & SMS and be able to assess and improve current processes. This role will work closely with the management team and academics to enhance current reporting, whilst providing technical support to others in the business.
  • Based in Sydney CBD close to public transport
  • 12-month contract
  • Salary $60,000 + Super 
  • Immediate start for the right candidate
General duties include;
  • Provide exceptional support around the LMS & SMS systems and assist with reviewing, improving and streamlining all current processes  
  • Collate data for analysis using Excel and present reports to management and academics for future improvements  
  • Be the go-to person for maintenance between integrating systems and ensuring they are running smoothly at all times
  • Assist staff and students are troubleshooting on the LMS & SMS communicating either via phone or email
  • Implement LMS administrative tasks such as content organisation, back-end development and management
  • Liaise with multiple departments across the business and internal/external stakeholders
  • Maintenance of the website via WordPress

As the Academic Systems Administrator, you will have a passion for IT and a strong understanding of LMS systems. You are an exceptional individual who adds value to their terrific workplace culture, loves helping others and thinks outside the box.
  
Skills, attributes and experience;
  • Degree qualified or relevant experience in a similar role 
  • Demonstrated experience using and maintaining an LMS within a higher education provider
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft
  • Must have unlimited working rights in Australia
