A new and exciting opportunity exists for a forward thinking, customer service driven, highly capable Medical Receptionist to join a well established specialist practice on Sydney’s lower North Shore.
Within your new role you will be providing an exceptional front desk reception service to all patients, work effectively as part of a professional team and ensure the smooth running of this busy practice!

About the role
This is an ideal role for an experienced medical receptionist providing administrative support to a high-standard, who is comfortable working in a busy environment, is passionate about providing excellent patient care.
  • Answering all inbound calls
  • Meet & Greet patients, within a caring environment
  • Provide and maintain a courteous, calm and sensitive attitude towards patients at all times
  • Providing a professional service to all referring doctors while promoting the practice to a high standard
  • Ensuring mandatory patient/practice confidentially at all times
  • Assist the Practice Manager with any ad-hoc admin tasks
  • Billing, receipting and claiming of patients accounts
About You
  • Experience working as a medical receptionist from within a GP or specialist preferred though not essential
  • Strong computer skills, essential
  • Ability to work under pressure and pick processes up quickly
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent people skills with a “can do attitude”
  • Able to relate well to patients, staff and healthcare professionals
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal skills
