Job Description

We are working with our client to find an experienced Payroll and HR Officer to cover a staff member’s annual leave.  This position will commence on 29th November and finish on 31st December.

Objective: To ensure the efficient and accurate processing of our client’s payroll along with performing various HR tasks.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of the fortnightly payroll for all staff in accordance with current Enterprise Agreements, contracts and company policies and procedures
  • Respond to and resolve payroll enquiries in an accurate, courteous, confidential and timely manner
  • High volume of data entry with strong attention to detail
  • Coding of timesheets, processing and filing of fortnightly payroll 
  • Calculate and process payroll adjustments and manual payments
  • Maintain employee records/personnel files on payroll related matters
  • Administer the fortnightly salary packaging maintenance and processing
  • Assist with the preparation of new employee’s contracts
  • Assist the HR Manager with adhoc duties
  
Essential skills, experience and knowledge:
  • Recent experience processing end to end payroll
  • Ideally you will have experience using Sage Micropay software
  • Proven analytical skills coupled with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Well developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills for liaising with staff, creditors and external bodies
  • The capacity to deal with multiple and often conflicting priorities
  • Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate change and provide responsive services to meet customers' needs
  • Self motivated, creative and passionate approach
  • Advanced computing skills and knowledge of financial reporting/payroll packages
