The Organisation

Established in 2004 Northern Rivers Community Foundation (NRCF) is an independent, public, charitable foundation whose mission is connecting people who care with local causes that matter, to enhance community wellbeing. NRCF works with donors to address social issues and pursue positive changes that help build healthy and resilient communities.
The Role

Due to growth, the organisation is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Marketing and Communications Officer. This role reports to the Executive Officer and works closely with the Development & Donor Engagement Officer. Your focus will be the implementation of NRCF’s communications and marketing strategy. You will also be responsible for the development and coordination of all internal and external communications.
Key Accountabilities
  • Build and maintain professional relationships across the organisation and with all donors/stakeholders and members of the community
  • Develop and implement a marketing and communications strategy and identify/create opportunities to develop the brand and profile of NRCF
  • Ensure all channel communications are of a high standard,‘on message’ and in line with NRCF brand and image
  • Plan, create and manage content across all mediums
  • Support donor relationships through events, collateral and online communications
  • Create relevant and quality marketing collateral to support the marketing strategy
  • Campaign management and monitor/review campaign success
  • Manage website and NRCF’s online presence – review and improve this as needed
  • Represent and promote NRCF at internal and external events
  • Prepare written communication materials including grant stories, donor profiles, press releases etc
  • Ensure all advertising including that used by third parties is in line with NRCF’s brand and identity
  • Provide advice on marketing and communications to senior management, staff, donors, partners and stakeholders as required
Key Skills & Attributes
  • A Bachelor degree in marketing, communications or related discipline
  • Proven experience and success in a similar role
  • Excellent communication, relationship management and stakeholder management
  • Ability to work autonomously and to manage multiple deadlines
  • Ability to coordinate a team and project manage
  • Previous experience of managing content across multiple channels, of building and developing a brand
  • Knowledge and experience working with social media platforms, IT software and PR strategies
  • Ability to travel and attend events as required
