Job Description

Create and develop the major gifts fundraising strategy and manage the budget. Build and cultivate relationships with high net worth individuals, identify and prospect new supporters. Increase the supporter base and generate revenue from major gifts.
This organisation has recently partnered with a successful Major Gift Consultant, to cleanse the database and identify potential major donors. This role would aim to maximise this research and develop the major gifts portfolio.

  • Generate revenue by developing and implementing the major gifts strategy

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a major gifts stewardship plan to achieve fundraising goals.
  • Build relationships with high net worth individuals and cultivate relationships to steward donors and increase gift size.
  • Research and identify prospective donors and build cases for support for the organisation.
  • Collaborate with senior management and the CEO to assist with donor relationships and the cultivation of donors.
  • Achieve revenue targets and provide timely reports on revenue, donor attrition and retention rates.
  • Host high net worth individuals at organisational events to maintain high levels of donor care and engagement.
  • Attend events to expand the donor network and engage prospective donors.
  • Maintain an accurate CRM to assist in the development of the portfolio.
Skills & Attributes
  • Previous experience initiating and developing long term relationships with prospective donors and stakeholders within the not-for-profit or commercial sector.
  • Proven success generating income within a fundraising or high-level sales role.
  • Ability to cultivate and solicit potential major donors.
  • A track record of working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Previous experience managing a budget and strong business acumen.
