Job Description

The HR Officer will work closely and report into the Director of HR. This is a varied role, providing admin support to the HR Director, assisting with the implementation of a new HRIS system and also ensuring that all policies and procedures are kept up to date. You will also assist with the recruitment, induction process whilst also being the first point of contact for HR across the business. 

Key responsibilities and duties;
  • Ensure the newly implemented HRIS system is maintained and up to date with accurate information 
  • First point of contact for all HR related enquiries
  • Produce contracts of employment, employment change letters, statements of service, and other correspondence
  • Support the HR Director with diary management 
  • Perform scheduling and logistics of HR activities, organise the induction program and ensure all employee files are updated with the necessary information
  • Management of work cover claims and oversee the return to work process
  • Maintain all compliance paperwork, including verification of new staff and ensure that all relevant checks are complete

This role will suit someone who is wanted to expand upon their HR experience and work closely with an experienced HR Director.

Skills and attributes;
  • Qualifications in HR or in the process of working towards these 
  • Experienced in the Microsoft Suite, particularly with Excel
  • Strong administration skills desirably within a HR function
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic and action orientated team
  • Experienced with return to work and workers compensation claims -(desirable)
  • Demonstrated ability to create relationships with all stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment, whilst managing workload and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skill both written and verbal with the ability to keep trust and confidentiality
  • Relevant experience working in a HR environment is desirable
