About the Client
Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) are the key promoter, developer and leader for project managers in Australia. AIPM works towards improving the knowledge, skills and competence of project managers by providing continual professional development, networking opportunities, information, advice and professional insurance.

About the role
The Head of Membership and Partnership will manage and mentor a small team in the delivery of membership products and services. The role will also work closely with the CEO to grow and develop client partnerships.

This is a hands-on position that involves implementing a strategic plan that will promote new membership and partnership opportunities, retain current members and ensure a positive member experiences.

It will require you to create proposals, report on statistics and enhance the member experience whilst driving collaboration and team performance through strong leadership.

About the person
The ideal candidate will have a customer centric focus and strong business acumen, to deliver quality service to members and internal stakeholders. You must have credible stakeholder management skills capable to communicate with high level client partners. A pragmatic and engaging personality is important.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Lead the membership team by providing advice, coaching,  direction and training
• Partner with internal stakeholders promote the membership and partnership benefits
• Oversee and manage the delivery of products and services
• Develop and account manage high level client/membership partnerships
• Collate and prepare monthly reports on membership statistics
• Assist the CEO in coordinating the Industry Leaders Group

To be successful you will have:
• Self-motivated and showcase a strong work ethic
• Proven experience in leadership and management of people
• Demonstrable conflict and negotiation skills
• Experience in partnering with key internal and external stakeholders
• Previous experience in the management of association members or call centre customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
