Job Description

This Head of Human Resources will lead a HR team of four people and work closely with the Executive team and Managers to understand the business needs and provide strategic HR support. This person will offer integrated solutions that are aligned to the strategy and objectives of the organisation. 

Duties of the role:
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the HR elements of the strategic plan
  • Drive company culture and reinforce company values across the organisation
  • Lead the HR business partnering function providing advice and implementing HR initiatives
  • Work with the executive team to embed change as an area of consideration within the organisation 
  • Manage learning and development initiatives across the organisation, in areas such as recruitment and selection, performance management, employee engagement, retention and career development etc 
  • Develop and review the HR Calendar of events/initiatives across the organisation
  • Ensure all processes and procedures and being followed and they are compliant with relevant legislation
  • Manage a team of 2 HR Business Partners, 1 Change Manager and indirectly a HR Adviser 
Candidates being considered for this role will:
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a Head of HR or Human Resources Manager in a large complex environment
  • Ability to cultivate strong working relationships at all levels
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislations, WHS and industrial relations obligations and EEO/AA principles
  • Ability to deliver high quality solutions orientated HR services
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
