Job Description

  • 12-month contract, potential to go permanent
  • Based in the CBD close to public transport links
  • Paying $40-45/hr + super
  • Must be immediately available for 12-months minimum
This HR Advisor will be reporting to the Senior HR BP, the HR Advisor will provide generalist HR advice and support to a client group. The position support managers on month day to day and broader organisational issues and HR processes. This role has full functional generalist HR responsibilities and is responsible for providing accurate and timely HR advice whilst partnering with engineers and technical staff.

Key duties and responsibilities;
  • Deliver high level proactive and reactive HR support, management and advice to leaders and staff
  • Support the ER/IR strategy, support the Senior HR BP and provide sound IR advice
  • Provide advice and coaching to line managers on performance management, performance improvement plans, and working with under-performing staff
  • Conduct and facilitate meetings with all parties to resolve grievances, resolve and ensure accurate and timely documentation of concerns and issues
  • Role model the company’s culture and values
  • Help with recruitment and selections alongside the talent team, where required, assisting in the process of creating job related interview questions, screening, evaluating and recommending applicants for interviews
  • Coordinating annual salary reviews, including; bench-marking, recommendations, implementation and communication
  • Participate in HR various projects as required and HR related ad-hoc projects
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in the HR advisory field across an array of industries. The ideal candidate will be conscientious, hardworking and great team player.

Previous experience and qualifications include;
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in HR
  • Must be immediately available
  • Previous experience in partnering with client group/department and providing strategic advice and guidance
  • Experience in identifying and implementing key initiatives, delivering HR solutions and a great understanding in HR procedures, principles and concepts
  • Good understanding of tech industry would be preferable
  • Solid consulting, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including the ability to positively liaise and negotiate with managers and staff whilst developing and maintaining positive working relationships
  • Demonstrate excellent consulting and negotiation skills, including influencing, motivating and creating a diverse environment
  • Previous knowledge of ER practices and issues, including being able to constructively use industrial relations / workplace legislation to achieve productive outcomes
