Beaumont People are working on a search assignment for a US$2B multinational in the medical devices and supplies industry. Undergoing a period of growth and acquisition across their ANZ business they are seeking the talents of a highly experienced and capable General Manager to lead the brand, product, business and operational integration of an acquired business. Please note this is initially a 12-month contract.
Reporting to the VP ANZ you will have scope and license to develop strategies across a well established national business as you bring about projects to align and integrate the people and brand to the wider ANZ and Global businesses.
The key challenge areas will be:
- Transformational Plan: Over a 9 to 12 month period, scope, plan, audit and develop an action plan for transformational change projects and transition of the business into an integrated brand of the global business.
- Senior Leadership Team: Connect, integrate and engage with the mission, vision and values of the leadership team to the wider business, integration strategy and general operations of the business.
- General Management: Manage a business of 20 staff with 7 direct reports. Lead from the front demonstrating cultural, values and purpose alignment. Equip and empower your leaders to perform to the highest standards and levels of performance through the encouragement of collaboration, agility and customer-centricity.
- Business acumen, project and change management: Deliver a careful and intentional balance of business understanding, from finance, sales, operations and IT. Whilst continuing to identify and prioritise project goals and change management opportunities.
The scope of this role initially extends to a 12 month contract.
You will have a background in leading people and businesses through significant change. Capability in project management methodology and relevant qualifications would be helpful in driving the level of change and project management required in this role. You will also possess strengths around people and culture, the ability to communicate with authenticity across a range of internal and external stakeholders. As an experienced business, general manager or similar leadership capacity you must have a strong understanding of the operations, P&L and IT functions of a complex organisation.
