About the Role

This is an opportunity for candidates looking to continue to work for a not-for-profit or seeking to enter the sector for the first time.

The successful applicant will report to the Finance Manager and will be a part of the corporate services team. The Finance Officer is accountable for maintenance of records and end to end accounts payable functions, administering financial systems, processes and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accounts payable tasks are completed quickly and efficiently
  • Collection of invoices and liaise with stakeholders for approval nationally
  • Update and maintain accounts records – be compliant with industry and internal standards
  • Account reconciliations and ad hoc reporting required
  • Relief payroll processing, salary packaging and superannuation reconciliations and payments using Xero and Astute
  • Ensure compliance with delegations registered for transactions relating to finance and payroll
  • Assist with improvements for service delivery for clients using their services
Essential Requirements
  • Working With Children Check and National Police Records Check required
  • Be an expert using Xero and Microsoft Excel
  • Previous experience in a similar role is a must
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Familiarity with government grants and accountability requirements
  • Occasional interstate travel required
