This is an opportunity for candidates looking to continue to work for a not-for-profit or seeking to enter the sector for the first time.
The successful applicant will report to the Finance Manager and will be a part of the corporate services team. The Finance Officer is accountable for maintenance of records and end to end accounts payable functions, administering financial systems, processes and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accounts payable tasks are completed quickly and efficiently
- Collection of invoices and liaise with stakeholders for approval nationally
- Update and maintain accounts records – be compliant with industry and internal standards
- Account reconciliations and ad hoc reporting required
- Relief payroll processing, salary packaging and superannuation reconciliations and payments using Xero and Astute
- Ensure compliance with delegations registered for transactions relating to finance and payroll
- Assist with improvements for service delivery for clients using their services
Essential Requirements
- Working With Children Check and National Police Records Check required
- Be an expert using Xero and Microsoft Excel
- Previous experience in a similar role is a must
- High level of confidentiality
- Familiarity with government grants and accountability requirements
- Occasional interstate travel required
