The organisation

The Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM) is a professional college that educates, certifies, registers and supports Physicists, Scientists and Engineers working in medicine in Australia and New Zealand. They set professional standards for certification and registration programs, and promote and regulate the science and practice of our field through advocacy.

The role
  
This role is a part-time ongoing temporary role as an EA/Committee Secretary. You will be responsible for the administration of 22 college committees that meet several times throughout the year. As required you will set agendas prior, take minutes during and set action items and provide member update communication following meetings.

This role offers great flexibility in allowing you to set your own working hours during the week and will allow you to work both from home and monthly from the office in Mascot.

The person

You will be accurate and highly organised. The ideal candidate will have experience providing administrative support to committees, and have experience working with agendas and minute taking. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, use your initiative and always be professional.
  
This role will suit someone who is looking for part time and flexible working hours.  You must demonstrate a level of maturity to manage your own workload to ensure deadlines are met.
   
Your duties will include, but are not limited to: 
  • Prepare and coordinate agendas a week prior to meetings
  • Set any action items and member updates following meetings
  • Minute taking during the duration of committee meetings
  • Provide other ad-hoc duties as and when needed for the team
