Director of Fundraising  

Inspiring renowned medical research organisation is looking for a Director of Fundraising, reporting directly into an engaged COO and board, you will write the new Fundraising strategy and be responsible for a team of 18.
  
This organisation has real appetite to diversify their current portfolio which includes national iconic community campaigns and are keen to invest in the development of new revenue streams such as Major Gifts, Bequests and Corporate Partnerships.
  
You will be an accomplished leader, with broad strategic Fundraising experience including high level Major Gifts.
  • Create and manage a new Fundraising strategy
  • Lead a team of 18
  • Highly competitive executive package, Westmead location
Key Responsibilities
  • Autonomy to devise and deliver a new Fundraising strategy in line with growth objectives
  • Manage the budgets and plans for Fundraising
  • Report on Fundraising to the board
  • Diversify income streams with a focus on growing revenue streams such as Major Gifts, Bequests and Corporate Partnerships
  • Continue to build on this charity’s national iconic event alongside other existing programs
  • Develop a business case(s) to achieve a transformative improvement in Fundraising income for both short and long term sustainability
  • Review all systems and processes across Fundraising and make recommendations for change
  • Provide executive leadership across all areas of Fundraising including Individual giving, Regular giving, Trust and foundations, Major donors, Bequests, Corporate fundraising, Events and Community
  • Lead the Fundraising team of 18 and review and implement changes to the team structure to maximise Fundraising potential
  • Work alongside the marketing and communications team to establish effective Fundraising marketing plans 
Skills & Attributes
  • Experience working in a high level strategic Fundraising leadership role
  • Proven success in delivering complex and multi-channel Fundraising programs, specifically in Major Gifts and Corporate Partnerships
  • Background in growing multiple revenue streams; major gifts being essential
  • Significant experience and proven performance in leading a Fundraising department
  • Proven track record in designing and executing a Fundraising strategy
  • Experience leading teams to hit significant financial targets across all areas of Fundraising
  • Experience in designing an effective Fundraising structure, systems and processes
  • Exceptional line management skills and the ability to manage change
  • Demonstrated internal and external stakeholder management skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
