Job Description

  • Based in the Sydney CBD, close to public transport links
  • Working with a leading education provider

This role holds the overall responsibility for the strategic direction, development and leadership of the Institute. This person is the main point of contact between TESQA and the Institute and is responsible for the Institutes ongoing compliance with TESQA, ESOS and Higher Education Standards.

Key duties and responsibilities;
  • Leading and developing the teams strategically across the Institute including Academic Operations, Admissions Operations Student Engagement and Administration Operations and Governance
  • Complete the annual and interim performance review and goal setting cycles, whilst reporting weekly, monthly and quarterly to the Board with ad hoc requests are required
  • Strategic analysis, strategic planning and overall leadership of the Institute whilst overseeing the strategic objectives and academic targets for the Institute
  • Develop and manage the workforce plan to the Institute maintains appropriate staff numbers, whilst ensuring all material is complaint against TESQA
  • Responsible for ensuring best practice Teaching and Learning strategies are developed and realised through appropriate facilities and support against Teach and Learning Plan
  • Ensure course design and delivery is compliant with professional accrediting bodies including CPA, ACCA and others as relevant
  • Ensure admissions have efficient operation and effective compliance processes against regulatory bodies and relevant standards related to tertiary education and international students
  • Responsible for successful and efficient delivery of student service operations in alignment and demonstrate leadership in the development of student engagement programs
  • Acting as principal executive officer, responsible for establishing and maintaining accreditation with regulatory bodies whilst facilitating the culture of compliance with regulatory bodies and laws governing High Education
  • Company secretary for the Board of Directors including compilation of board materials for each meeting
  • Manage the membership for the quality assurance of the Academic Board, Course Advisory and Review Committee (CARC), and Teaching and Learning Committee (T&LC)
The ideal candidate will have…
  • Proven experience within the education sector, desirably within Higher Education
  • Excellent organisational, verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to lead a team successfully
  • Exceptional coaching and mentoring skills with experience in completing an annual and interim performance review and goal setting cycles
  • Ability to operate effectively in a business and academic environment, with strong skills within the higher education space
  • Possess a strong work ethic regarding the delivery of quality education to exceptional compliance standards
  • A deep understanding of TESQA, ESOS and Higher Education Standards
  • Desirable if you are a member of relevant academic and professional associations
  • Desirable if you have formal qualification in teaching or management at a tertiary level
