About the Client:
This NFP Member Association support professional individuals and corporate businesses with learning, development and networking opportunities, information, advice and professional insurance. They have seen an increase in individual members during Covid 19.

About the role:

The CFO will be responsible for developing and delivering efficient financial operations and accounting procedures for the organisation. This position is central to providing strategic advice and guidance to the CEO, and the Executive Management team to ensure effective decision making. You will oversee a team of 2 and will be involved in the monthly board meetings, the audit and risk committee and liaise with external auditors. This role requires a hands-on solution focused approach.

About the person:
The ideal candidate must be CPA or CA qualified. You will be able to think strategically, create innovative ideas and present solutions. It’s important that as CFO you are decisive but flexible, and detail oriented whilst maintaining big picture business objectives. The ability to prioritise and manage deadlines is also crucial.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Delivery of robust financial advice and support to the Executive team, CEO and Board
• Develop strategic forecasts and models to provide insights into financial future
• Prepare reports for Board, Audit Committee and Annual General Meeting
• Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate statutory financial statements that are appropriate for users and IFRS compliant
• Ensure that all statutory requirements are met including Income Tax, Goods and Services Tax, Fringe Benefits Tax, PAYG, Superannuation, Payroll Tax & Workers Compensation.

To be successful you will have:
• Tertiary qualifications with executive management experience and a current CPA/CA membership
• Demonstrable experience in leading an accounting/finance team, and supporting the Board, CEO and greater management team
• Digital literacy with experience in the use of MYOB, Excel and CRM databases
• Strong self-motivation and showcase a strong work ethic
• Experience in partnering with key external stakeholders
